A major focus of our research is engineering new <span class=\"s1\">safe and effective AAV vectors<\/span> to overcome gene delivery barriers. Using these optimized AAVs as tools, we aim to develop gene therapies for both <span class=\"s1\">rare genetic diseases<\/span> and <span class=\"s1\">more common conditions<\/span>.
